Beauty at Work

Imagine the unimaginable, and transform your experience with work, and life
💥 Wednesdays in April & May, 8 am - 9 am PST - open for registration

What is “beauty”? What is “work”?

Can we put them together in the same sentence?

Let’s do it! For two months, we’re going to adventure into the inherent beauty of work. Whatever your life’s work might be—job, career, philanthropy, sport, art, personal development, retirement, parenting. We’ll also bounce around in the double entendre and consider “beauty at work in the world.”

What if your real work was “loving the world*”?

Going a bit deeper, we’ll explore how Beauty—that which exalts the senses and expands the mind and spirit—can transform the quality and experience of work without circumstances having to change. From the day-to-day moments to the vaster frontier of the long game, we will use beauty to move into a place of creative ownership and curiosity, and away from fixing or panicking.

We will consider creating instead of achieving.

We will consider whatever we call “work” as the place we go to practice loving the world ==> more aliveness and freedom.

Let’s see what happens when we stop asking our jobs to make us happy.

This salon isn’t about “finding your passion,” and “loving your job”; we’re not going to force-feed ourselves positive thinking or stick-to-it-iveness. We’re going to consider the whole gamut of experiences and emotions. Then, we’ll turn up our awareness and bear witness. This is about knowing we can ride the roller coaster with the persistence of beauty at our side.

As your guide, I will lead the experience, and keep it open and collaborative. Think of this as a collective inquiry. We're going to be like scientists in a lab, exploring, sharing our findings and reflections.

This salon was enlightening, inspiring and invigorating. The discussions challenged the group to examine our ideas, relationships and notions of beauty at work. Tatyana always had a good prompt, quote, question and comment to guide us along. So glad I went with my instinct to join!

—Kathy McAllister, Executive Director, GOALS Haiti
