đź’ĄBeauty, Beauty & More Things Beauty

My friend suzanne shared her rock-painting art all over our wee township.

Dear Blog Subscribers,

I love you. Thank you for being at the receiving end of my musings and writing, and to many of you for sending me sweet, inspiring emails in response to some of these stories.

This isn’t goodbye, but Just a Note to Say a change is underway.

I’m going to start writing about Beauty over at Substack, under the title Beauty Hunter. In many ways, the pieces will be very much the same as the current, because the human game is beauty-infused, whether we chart it that way or not.

If you’re a blog subscriber, you’ll be receiving these Beauty Hunting emails from the Substack delivery service. You can unsubscribe at any time.

This shift is inspired by adding Salons to Everyday Creative, whereby a gathering of cool humans come together online to raise their beauty antenna and talk about it. (Next one starts Nov 4., spots open).

In the meantime, here are some beauty shots for you:

Massive autumnal beauty explosions happening here on Mercer Island. Another beauty lift is getting outside to witness it all before it dies. Beauty in the finiteness of things. Beauty in a morning walk with husband and shrieking to the point of embarrassing him about HOW GODDAMN BEAUTIFUL IT ALL IS!

PS. I love that the beauty intermingles with ugly-modern technology expressed in crisscrossing wires. but the beauty in what those wires give us, right?

“A view from bed” - A move to a new home turns our rooms into fresh canvas.es. after watching “Whtie lotus” i obsessed over jungle themes. so into the house comes Rousseau’s “The dream” and an olive tree. now i can fall asleep pretending i’m an olive farmer or on some wild adventure with tigers as my guide. ROAR!

WHILE I don’t personally find this skirt beautiful, i took a photo of it (because of disbelief that this is what’s on offer) and brought it home for my husband and i to laugh at

“Steve! we just got an invitation to go four square dancing and i have the perfect outfit!”

Humor is so beautiful, especially when served dry.

I recently showed off a jerky little dance movement to steve and my grandkids.

me: “Hey kids, can you do this?” -jerky dance movement

Steve: “Fortunately, not!”

(too bad I ddin’t have said dancing skirt on).

See you over at the Beauty Hunter trailhead❣️
